Spanish Bee Pollen - What's all the buzz about?

What is Bee Pollen?

Our Gold Standard Pure Bee Pollen has been sourced naturally from wildflowers including Cistus and Genista in the mountainous regions of Northern Spain. Spanish Bee Pollen is considered to be the best in the world due to its sweet taste and wonderful golden colour, as well as its outstanding nutritional value.

Fun fact #1: Did you know that it takes 12 honeybees to produce one tablespoon of honey?

Our premium standard Spanish bee pollen is truly one of nature’s gifts. It is considered one of the most completely nourishing foods, containing nearly all of the nutrients required by humans.

The wonderful bees which produce our pollen identify and collect pollen which is rich in amino acids (used for protein-building). This natural selection performed by the bees ensures that the pollen we collect is always a consistent and superior source of nutrition.

Bee pollen by TheHealthyTree Company is produced with careful and natural bee-keeping practices that are considerate to both the bees and the beautiful environment in which they live. Our bees work only 3-4 days per week and never longer than a total period of 4-5 weeks; this ensure that the bees have sufficient pollen for their own nourishment.

Fun fact #2: Did you know that Honey is the only edible food for humans that won’t go off?

How Can I Use Bee Pollen?

Bee pollen is fantastic in smoothies. Add two teaspoons of bee pollen to a blender and mix with other organic ingredients of your choosing for a fantastic natural source of energy, protein, minerals and BEE-vitamins to kick-start your day. Another popular way of using bee pollen is to add it to yoghurt. We’ve found that bee pollen and cacao nibs carefully placed on plain organic Greek yoghurt with a drizzle of honey is a wonderful combination!

You may also want to try sprinkling pure bee pollen granules on your cereal, salad or adding it to your favourite baking recipe - a great example of baking with bee pollen is by adding it to muffins!

Please note: bee pollen should be avoided by those allergic to bee stings, honey and other bee products.
